Nehha Pendse

Nehha Pendse, who is currently seen playing the boss in 'May I Come In Madam?', has never been one to mince words. The actress was recently in the news for refusing to wear a bikini on screen. The actress also apparently shares cold vibes with her co-actor Sandeep Anand on the show. In a quick chat, she clears the air:

You pose in swimsuits for photoshoots but you refused to wear one on your show, which became an issue...
A swimsuit is fine, but they wanted me to wear a bikini, which I refused. In addition, they did not take prior permission if I would be comfortable wearing one. They wrote the screenplay and it was assumed that I would wear it. I am not comfortable wearing a bikini in real life, why should I agree to wear one on screen? A swimsuit becomes like a dress when you wrap a sarong over it, so there was no objection to that. Also, after I refused, they wanted to use a duplicate wearing a bikini, which I objected to. I did not want the audience to have the perception that I wore a bikini on screen. So finally, they altered the screenplay and it was settled.

You have issues with your co-actor Sandeep Anand.
We are two strong individuals, so we keep it thoroughly professional. I think there are many lead actors on other shows who do not get along but share a great chemistry onscreen, so it does not affect our work. We do not want small issues to escalate on the set, so it is ideal that we don't talk to each other beyond work.

We hear your parents are looking for a groom.

Yes, they are desperate to get me married. I am also hoping that I find an individual who is able to handle my strong qualities. I guess these days men can't take bold and strong women, so I am finding it tough to find a guy.

Actress Neha Pendse who has been a popular child artiste in both Bollywood and regional films will make her TV debut very soon with Life OK's upcoming show to be produced by Edit ll.
